Dance has been my passion since a very young age. My experience has taken me to look forward to improve my skills and technique and get the opportunity to work with different choreographers and dancers. After high school, the first thought through my mind was, “the human body is really able to express all what we have in our imaginary iner world.
Consequently I started my career in Medicine. I paid my entire way through college by working as a dancer. My curious spirit helped me get to be a part of the psychoanalysis study group (Freudian, Lacan) After my degree in Medicine, in Argentina, I continued my studies in Logotherapy (Viktor Frankl). Later, Dance Therapy arrived to my career as a way to complete my knowledge and my continuous desire to learn.
I have worked in many institutions using Dance Therapy as an adition to medical treatments. I have applied therapeutical, prevention and learning elements with persons who present visual and movement disabilities, or with a diverted perseption of their own body image as well as people with attention disorders and bullying targets in the Public School System as an alternative to diverse subjects in the regular curriculae.
Aerial Dance came to me while working with teens in a socially troubled quarteer. The psychiatrist in charged of the project asked me to learn a discipline where a controlled risk could imitate the living conditions of the youngsters. I began my experience with Aerial Dance as an adult and it became to me a new poetic way of working as well as a mean to bring self awareness of the body.
