History
Lima is a dehydrated city. We are in front of the Pacific Ocean, but we are in a desert. However, some of us have access to safe water, but the vast majority of citizens don’t have that right, because our rivers are scarce and polluted, and water services don’t work as they should. The city is growing each day, and the supply of water is not enough for the growing population. We need to have a water culture, to understand the importance of taking care of water, now more than ever.

The Performance
The Yitzhah Rabin Park is located at the cliff of the Costa Verde (“Green Coast”) which is a 22.5 km. road along the Pacific Ocean, in Lima. Our dance remembered the ancient Peruvian tradition of the Pago al Agua or Mamayacu, (“Mother Water”, in Quechua), by bringing seawater from the bottom, to the “rivers” up at the cliff, and offering it as a signal of reunion with the nature.
