This beautiful report begins with an overview of the whole project and then goes on to cover the dances at several European sites. It explains the scope of the event and how the Steering Committee of Global Water Dances put things into motion. Replete with examples of posters created locally, and photographs of the actual dances, this article was compiled by Antja Kennedy, who is a member of the international steering committee. Kennedy was in charge of regional coordination in Europe. She is also the director of the EUROLAB – European Association for Laban / Bartenieff Movement Studies, based in Berlin (www.laban-eurolab.org) which is one of the sponsors for Global Water Dances – and is freelance dancer, choreographer, dance teacher and certification program director in Laban / Bartenieff Movement Studies at the EUROLAB.
