Hannah van Tonder waMaja is the Co-owner of Sketch Productions, a BA (hons with special mention) in Dramatic Arts, a Master of Arts graduate in Critical Diversity Studies and an Internationally accredited Learning Success Institute Coach. van Tonder is currently pursuing Dance Therapy in Laban/Bartenieff studies with EuroLab.Her multi-award winning theatre production, “Metsi” (Water) was invited as an international guest production at the Lagos International Theatre Festival in 2024.van Tonder has been actively part of some social events, such as the So Creative Summit and the BYO Punk fashion installation at the Kalashnikov gallery in Johannesburg (2022).

After completing the BASA Cultural Producers Program by British Council (2023), Her independent Theatre company has been a case study for Common Purpose Pan Africa, and at the MasterCard Pan African student program at the University of Pretoria (2024 – 2025). Hannah was afforded the platform to curate and roll out a “facilitation curriculum” for various organizations such as Rivonia Circle Political Research hub and Kutitiva Foundation (2017 – 2023). Currently Hannah teaches IGCSE and AS Level Drama at Warwick House Cambridge International in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is part of the General Electric Next Engineers South Africa psychosocial facilitation team.
