History of Site and Related Water Issues
The Anacostia is a tributary of the Potomac, part of the great and endangered Chesapeake Watershed. The Anacostia has been helped in recent years by clean-up efforts by local groups: but still cannot be used for swimming and the Anacostia Watershed Society recommends catch-and-release for fishermen as the fish are not fit for consumption.
Music
The music will be contemporary Hungarian music and the given tabla music for Section III.
The Performance
The performance will be a solo with the assistance of Jacob and Mikaela Ryder.
Directions to the Site of Performance
Bladensburg Waterfront Park is near Peace Cross on Annapolis Road (450). There is free parking. The performance site is up the hill from the children playground.
