June Beyer
was born in the sun and raised by the sea. A Wildwood Crest native, June has salt water in her veins. Ballet, tap, jazz and acrobat at Mrs. Porter’s dance studio began at age three, five days a week. A high school and college cheerleading captain, June’s choreography came naturally. June is an artist and educator who choreographs multigenerational circles for those in need of joyous rejuvenation. She is a wife, mother and grandmother of ten grandchildren who sweetly call her Honey!

History of Site and Related Water Issues:

June is a native of the Wildwoods having graduated from Wildwood High School. Wildwood Crest, New Jersey is a large and beautiful white sugar sand beach on the southernmost tip of Cape May County’s Atlantic Ocean. It is a truly lovely area and this year was rated the number one beach in the Garden State. We want to keep this body of water clean and healthy for marine life and all generations to come!

Music:

MEDLEY:
Frank Sinatra/ Somewhere Beyond the Sea
Enya, Orinoco Flow
Ocean Girl, Stills/Young Band

Under the Sea, Little Mermaid

The Performance:

This is a Life Celebration of our Mermaid Matriarch Great Gram Jane Von Savage who left this world on June 27, 2016 at age 96. She loved to dance by the sea and now three generations of her family will perform a Dance of Healing Peace from pregnancy through age 59. White flowing frocks will represent the cleansing of Wildwood Crest waters with seashells and sassafras tea refreshing the soul.

Environmental Impact:

Wildwood Crest is a very close knit community where livelihoods depend on the ocean’s healing salty powers.
